The best way to show that your products come in multiple color variants are collection color swatches. Aside from showcasing all the colors as swatches, it is possible to update the main image on mouse hover/click.

With this implementation, you would be able to upload images that would be used as color swatches, representing the exact color, texture or pattern of each color variant.

Change Image On Mouse Hover

When the mouse hovers over a product image it will display the second product image you uploaded for that product.
When the mouse is moved off of the product image the image will change back to the first image uploaded.

This feature is used when you want to display more than one product image on the collection page, and perfect if you want to display front and back images of clothing for example.
