Using high-quality product images in your eCommerce store is important for helping customers understand the product and encourage them to buy, however, some products might come without images (digital downloads) or you simply don’t have it ready, but you’d like to start selling a product or have it present on the website.
When the product image doesn’t exist, a placeholder “no image” image takes its place, and it’s the same for every Shopify store, and it doesn’t draw any attention.
